Gabriela has 17 years of experience in tax advice and litigation. She worked for 15 years at Pinheiro Neto Advogados and for two years as a visiting attorney at Dechert LLP, in New York, after completing her LLM at Harvard Law School. Gabriela has expertise in various sectors of the economy, with an emphasis on technology, telecommunication, entertainment, retail, cosmetics and agribusiness. She regularly advises multinational companies in tax planning, structuring and compliance, having designed greenfield operations of big techs in Brazil.
Gabriela acts on highly complex tax proceedings in the administrative and judicial spheres, including customs. As a research coordinator at the Fiscal Studies Center at FGV and member of the Center for Fiscal Citizenship (C.CiF), Gabriela assisted in the preparation of the proposal for consumer tax reform (PEC 45/2019) currently before Congress.
Gabriela is also the author and co-author of many peer-reviewed articles discussing tax issues and is a guest professor of the postgraduate course (LL.M.) in Tax Law at Insper with a focus on taxation and technology.
